With the growth of mobile devices, GPS receivers and subsequently location based services the ability to consume and create geographic data has never been greater or more pertinent. Alongside this, map based applications have become common place in both the consumer and business spheres. Although many of us use maps every day, it is a fair statement that understanding of geographic information and techniques for its exploration are still underutilized. This talk will examine how we can build innovative applications to visualize and analyse such data, allowing us to identify underlying patterns in data and make decisions on these new insights.
